Apple and google trouble?

As reported earlier apple and google seem to be having more problems or at least apple might be preparing itself for more trouble. Apple is in process of getting their own native map app. Now this by itself really isn't that big of a deal being that other phones out there have multiple map apps too, ex: sprint's phones. But the reason why this is potential news of spliting for the two is because of the past news of apple's board of directors parting ways with the CEO of google or vice versa, who held a seat there. This is the kind of fuel that starts fire in the eyes of news writters and puts either legit or overblown light on situations like this. I personally don't see any benefit of apple cutting ties with google because honestly their is no threat out there for apple, not even google. Apple has such a lead that I can't see anyone ever causing them problems but themselves. But you know stranger things have happen.
