What a difference 13 days made (By: Jason)

Today is day 13 and I've done something this afternoon that will shock many who know me.
I just left Best Buy and returned an apple product. (GASP!)
Not because it is defective; not to exchange it. I returned it because I do not want it anymore. Oh and if you haven't figured it out, the product i'm referring to is the iPad.
Wishful thinking and hoping wasn't enough to deter from the facts -- I do not need this product. (Or to put it another way) When posed with the question, can you see yourself without this device? or Do you feel like you've fulfilled some need or situation. Unfortunately, the answer is no. I'm not going to go through the laundry list of grievances with the device. I've already read several other articles that cover that. I will say that I did not go into this blindly or expecting to be proven wrong. I did not expect it to be a laptop or a better ebook reader (reading outside on the ipad in any kind of direct light is almost impossible). I thought despite all of that, somehow this device was going to work out for me. It didn't. Foolish? Not necessarily. Because it's hard to completely judge something that you've never seen or truly spent anytime with.
So I bid the iPad farewell. It was fun while it lasted. You are an attractive device. Just not very useful. Not even for me.
