Lowell mcadam should be pulled out of making statements like this. According to him the incredible by htc would have "easily" outsold the droid and its opening day numbers if it was not for shortages. For me that's just not good business thinking. Let's look at what it is shall we. The motorola droid is the best selling smartphone ever in history on verizon and the 2nd best selling device next to the iphone based on time on market and opening day launch numbers. The motorola droid is responsible for the major raise of android devices as we know them to date. Everywhere you look you see their ads and there pictures in verizon stores. Bottom line the motorola droid has been really good for verizon and their numbers. But to go out and make statements like this seems a little disrespectful to Motorola. Especially when the incredible didn't outsell Motorola's Droid. Blame it on this or that. Would've, should've, and could've don't mean anything. When its all said and done it didn't and that's that. What you should be doing is promoting the incredible as another great phone in the lineup and nothing more. Why put your relationship with Motorola on uneasy ground because you're going to want the Motorola Droid 2 so you need to be careful not to burn bridges. You can hype up the incredible without putting down or belittling what Motorola Droid has done and continues to do for your company. How about focusing on bad battery life issues and signal strength problems on the incredible first before running your month off prematurely about sales that might have been. That will go much further with the fans, believe me.
