Mr incredible or Buddy!!!!!!

Well the most wasteful time of my tech life is over finally( ok maybe not that bad). I was fooled in thinking that this phone was better until Monday and Tuesday real world test out of the comfort of my wifi happened. The true colors came blazing out from it. I bought the incredible( returned it for my moto Droid baby:))just like all the reviewers out there told me and you too. I looked into all the things on paper it was given me over my Motorola Droid and went for it even though everything inside me told me not to. Boy did I learn my lesson. I should have stayed right where I was. That phone turned out to be an incredible nightmare in most cases that count. This thing was fast, very fast as long as you could get a signal. And this was all of maybe 30% of the time during the day where I go to work, live and shop( but only for this phone not any other Verizon phone). Basically the only time I had 3 out of 4( you will never get and keep 4 no matter what) bars of signal strength was when I was shopping around a Verizon Store. At home, no 3g 1-2 bars for phone signal at best, at work zero 3g, zero up to 1 bar of cell signal strength. Man I'm talking about terrible guys. I did all I could, reboots, calls to Verizon, and a rabbit foot. Pretty soon the rep from Verizon told me what I had come to know then and that was that Htc's phones are very weak when it comes down to pick up of signals( Nexus, eris and incredible all share same fate). I wonder why this was not told to me while all the reviewers out there screamed to the top of the mountain how much better this phone was and that it was better than any android phone out there. Now I have to say I myself hoped it was something else but somehow felt really let down about the overall quality of the phone with the exception of the camera options and speed with overall speed of phone. Outside from that there was nothing I REALLY like over the Moto Droid. In fact when it came down to it over 70% of the things that matter Moto droid did better. The Incredible superhero turned out to be a "Buddy" with gadgets that said on paper it was great but never really had true power when it counted. And as I have mentioned before even the keyboard was a nightmare to use. I found myself typing word after word over and over again because it would pick up the wrong touches( and yes I calibrated it). I know they said it was the same keyboard as on the hero but my wife has the hero and I can type fast as crap on hers but when it came down to this keyboard, again it looked like a hero, but wasn't:). Friend stream options in the htc was another hype up. I again saw no purpose for Friend stream. I thought it was going to be cool but all it did was make things more tedious than fast or convenient. It was simpler to just go the facebook and or twitter and do your update or look for them. And as far having 7 screens I had to make up reasons to use them when I only needed 3 of them. I will say that the battery life wasn't that bad as the numbers say and would have probably been better if it wasn't always out of signal range looking for one but again wasn't as good as what I had. The screen was also overblown because the colors were really over developed. So much that in most cases the colors bleed and mixed in each other. Whites looked blue or reddish. Reds looks like the screamed to be turned down as well as purples. Overall it really wasn't all that like again most reviewers stated. Did it look good over all yes but could have looked great without the bleed in and over pushing of colors which took away from the overall quality of the screen in my opinion. Bottom line htc should have done better with a phone called "incredible". I believe as they did with the Nexus and Eris, they put too much attention on the wrong things and left the obvious things that are needed the most go without thought( battery life, bleeding in screen, calibration of keyboard software, and the biggest and last straw for me Signal strength) and this is what makes me say that " I am NOT YOUR BIGGEST Fan". But hey I still give the phone a 7 of 10( would have been higher if they hadn't blown the signal strength) for the things it did do right. Hope Htc can fix this signal strength thing soon because if you look at forums that is the biggest thing talked about right as far a problems people are starting to get very upset at with the phone. And I believe that the problem with the signal strength will help the battery life which they can score 2 birds with one stone. This phone is too important to blow for too long, but I didn't have time to gamble anymore with it, with the hope that they will fix it especially with the way they handled problems with the Eris and Nexus. Both of them having the exact problems they had when they came out and look what they did with Eris and the Nexus for Verizon to date. It doesn't look good people. They are batting 100% for not taken care of problems, so you may want to look at that. Good luck, I'm riding with my Moto Droid, take care!!!!
