NY Editor Talking Trash about the Storm

Just a little bit ago a real respected journalist from the new york times gave his assessment of the Blackberry Storm. Now normally you can point out a great unbiased opinion given(like that of Phonedog's noah) but if you read his review of the storm you can tell that this man was not writing objectively but out of either vindictiveness or out of a fanboy heart for his iphone love. This is the same man that went as far as to write a iphone song because he was so much in love with it. This is fine but as a reporter or journalist you have to be a little bit less attached to a product especially if it's your job to look at many different ones. Now the reason why I say this is because he spent a lot of time talking down about the storms features that were opposite to his iphone or should I say features that were counter to what he was use to on the iphone. He has gotten so wrapped up into using his iphone that any phone that comes along with a different approach to what he was use to on the iphone he just tossed up as being bad. IE the keyboard for the storm. I personally like the keyboard and the press technology. I think that its a very bold and different approach all together than any other of the touch screen phones out that just throw on a touch screen and move on. And blackberry should be commended on that. In fact if you look at all other reviews the sure type was the favorite of the reviewers that used the storm but yet somehow it was the most hated by this journalist. In fact very little space was spent talking about the really good things that this phone has to offer (and there is plenty) without still downing it all over again on points he made in the beginning of the article. This phone is probably to this date the best world phone at this present time as far as it ability to be used worldwide. He even gives up the evidence that he was not judging the phone for the phone itself but judging it for his habits with the iphone not being able to be duplicated with the storm. Thats not very professional if you ask me. Now this is not to say that the storm doesn't have concern issues such as the lag issues that pop up from time to time but it by no means stops you from enjoying a great phone. And if the little issues that are there are actually handled with a firmware then the phone will be that much more exciting. So be careful when a reviewer can't separate their love for one product long enough to give a just review of other products.
