***TECH AWARD GOES TO ***:the phone?? or maybe just the Software

Now the smoke seems to be clearing and a lot of the reviews and concerns are starting to clear up about the G1. One being the the limit restriction. T-mobile took back the statements about limiting the users, which was very needed to do if you ask me. I believe that t-mobile was surprised at how many people paid attention to the fine print. The 2nd concern was the was the mysterious rumor about the memory leak. These reports disappeared as soon as they started. I find no evidence of this issue anymore. Now the real question is was it ever a problem or did they get this taken care of during a OTA update. Bottom line it's seems to be gone. And last is the internet connection being slow. This ends up being tied to the location of some people. A vast majority of the people are getting the speeds they should. So that leaves the Battery issue. And as with all things, there seems to be news reports about a mysterious extended battery (after market) that gives users more juice. But one thing that was really uplifting was that fact that even though the battery could be better it's still longer than the 3g iphone battery( at least according to Walt from the wall street journals). So if the 3g iphone battery juice isn't bad enough to stop people from enjoying and buying their iphones then I don't think it should make any G1 fans too sad. So what do we have left now that the smoke is out the room. We have the promise of a great future for Android. I say Android and not the G1 because I believe Android ( the software) will become the ultimate software that replaces the iphone's, windows, and blackberry OS as the best. This software platform is so well thought out and so friendly to developers and even to the average joe that knows anything about programing that I believe will eventually lead to a library of the most innovative software add on's any phone platform has ever seen. The software thats out right now with not even a month of exposure for the phone is incredible. One of the software created (and dare I say is FREE for you download is a program)that scans bar codes for items in the store and then there was this Radar software that help people locate things while walking around the city(it actually uses a radar like that which you see in the fighter jets or submarines). I mean this platform is truly amazing people. I haven't been this excited about a platform like this since the 1st iphone software. And just like I said then, I'm saying now. "This will change everything". Way to go Android and congrads T-mobile. The only thing of concern about the whole G1 phone thing is that android isn't loyal to that one phone. You will see even more phones running this software and that doesnt have battery life issues(which is really the key if you ask me). And the question will have to be answered by those that look at the g1, "will the other phones top this?". Sadly I think so because they will just keep getting better . But is this a reason not to get the G1? I would encourage you to answer that question yourself. It will be foolish to believe that they won't get better but question is when and where will they show up. Could we even see a Android Iphone???? Scary thought!!
