Is it just me or has this year become the year of the computer OS. With the refreshes from Apple and windows, the announcement of Google OS and many distros of Linux, this is a great time to be a computer user.
At the moment, between Mario and I, I guess you could call me the "PC" guy and Mario the "Mac" because my personal computer is a pc and his is a mac. (We'll save the pc vs mac discussion for another time.)
I have already preordered my copy of Windows 7 and have Ubuntu running on an older pc and am dealing with Vista until then. What I wonder now is how significant can/will Google Chrome OS be in the PC industry?
Many applications that I use are in the google suite. Also, I would love an even leaner, stripped down OS that has less junk and just what I need in a clean, simple format. Add to that how much I love the Google Chrome browser and that it will more than likely be free and I think this could be something big!
So I'll install Windows 7, continue trying out Linux distros, while keeping my eyes and ears open for Google Chrome OS!

Now this is a good blog entry! The entry about 1.5 billion downloads was a little biased towards Apple and would seem to degrade me if I don't own an iPhone. This entry is un-biased and presents arguments from all sides, as all good "general tech" blogs should. Great job! I'm looking forward to the next entry!
