Ps3 outsells but....

Well great news for the playstation camp. The sales for the slim went the exact way it hoped it did. It made sales of the ps3 shoot up to 104%. All the news headlines report amazing demand for it and sell outs almost everywhere( even though I have yet to walk in one store that didn't have them ready to sell). There were even articles put out showing how to find one. This is great for sony right? Well it would be if their direct competitor the 360 didn't do almost the samething. While ps3 sold $75,931 in its opening week the xbox 360 after their price cut enjoyed a massive sale boost of their own with a sale hit of $74,689. So you can do the math but to me you really don't have much to shout about if you are sony. Let be honest this is the best pitch you could have been given at this time fir sony with its price and creating of a whole new system which so happens to be a bluray player as well. But the 360 is still going with it's old unreliable system with no bluray player and a price cut and doing just as well. I personally thought the difference would be much higher. To me the ps3 shows more value but I guess my thoughts don't matter because according to you guys the 360 is every bit of a value as the ps3 even with all its failures and lack of bluray. And if that's the case sony has some tall hills to climb even with its system's lighter load. Reason why, it just seems that the 360 has just as many reasons to buy it as the ps3 does but just in different ways. So Sony can count on its numbers to come in second place behind the 360 for at least another 6-9 months if not more if this continues. But I would have to say that the microsoft camp thus far has done a amazing job at deflecting the first opening on slaught from ps3 so congrads to them. Competition makes things better anyway right?
