Ok, as most read the first thoughts about the problems that the barnes and noble e-reader, the nook, was having I pointed out that I was really wanting one but hoped that the nook could correct their mistakes soon before a newer model was due to hit. Well good news for all, the nook has gotten that needed update out and even though it doesn't make things perfect they are enough for me to turn and buy one for my e-reading joys. Gone are the battery leaks, misfires for the bookmarks and highlights issues. Also more stable o/s operation. I personally haven't had but one reboot the whole time I have had it. Yes its still not as quick as the kindle nor does the navigation through the system work as easy on the nook as on the kindle. Oh and the battery life isn't in the same league as the kindle. Matter of fact the unit bottom line isn't better than the kindle period. But for some reason it is still more enjoyable(for me) to use and read (which is the purpose of a e-reader in the first place I guess) for reasons like contrast ,having a physical store like barnes and noble in your city that you use your product in partnership with, and touch screen usefulness especially using the screen to turn pages. Now I will say that for a person that hasn't had either e-reader the advantages above for the kindle cut out very quickly because they aren't something someone would see or understand unless they already had the kindle going to the nook, or vise versa to be fair. And not many people bounce like that unless you are like me, a gadget freak and reviewer. If you buy the nook/or kindle straight out then you will find yourself loving the thing. And if possible you could be looking at the most enjoyable and useful product you ever got yourself (if you love reading or want to get into reading more). But kudos to nook for the come back now continue the work and keep improving it and making faster and innovative.
