What would a global phone by Apple do?

Ok I had to go ahead and ask the question that scares the crap out of all companies that aren't named apple for mobile phones.  But what would be the results of iPhone going globally to all phone companies.  A world iPhone. Compatible with all carriers in all countries.  Could this be even done? Well it hasn't been done before but if I know Apple it would be this type of thing that would push them to do just that. Setting a standard again for all others to question "why don't others do this". Well to kinda start off the first thing it would do is hurt ATT very badly. In fact this move would hurt them far more than any other carrier. Next on the list is android. Android would suffer a very big blow.  One that I'm not sure it would be able to recover from quickly at its current state. And this comes from a fan of android. Next then would follow all other companies that were just hanging on like palm and windows. Yes, this would almost certainly destroy them both, however palm would admittedly be the faster of the two to die. And last but not least is the very rooted format of blackberry.  The companies would use these last advancement of Apple to finally push out their long awaited approval for change over the old but reliable format. And if they take the businesses from blackberry they have nothing . So does anyone have a chance to stand next to Apple as equals if this happens, I think not. To much to overcome. But how could this even happen you ask me. I don't know. If I knew that I would be talking to Mr jobs instead of writing this entry. But I still think it could happen especially with the raise of android breathing up apple's skirt(that's if they can keep it up) threatening Apple day by day, month by month. This could be the last card in the deck for apple to use if they have no other alternative. The world awaits.
